Excellence in design and adaption of the living environment to support the needs of those living with dementia – best practice conference

North West Regional College is hosting this online conference, which is ideal for those directly involved with designing, building, or adapting housing and homes to support the needs of those living with dementia. 

This is a webinar format that will be 1.5 hours long and offers Continuous Professional Development. 

About this Event 

This online conference is ideal for those directly involved with designing, building, or adapting housing and homes to support the needs of those living with dementia.  This event is free, but the North West Regional College are encouraging those who attend to donate to Alzheimers.org.uk.

Speakers 

Fiona and Greg Walsh 

Senior Fellows in Brain Health from the Global Brain Health Institute . Greg and Fiona co-founded a specialist evidence-based architects practice that specialises in designing inclusive environments for everyone including people living with cognitive, sensory and physical impairments.  

Dr. Pamela Topping 

Pamela is a Belfast based Designer who specialises in Dementia Design. Pamela completed a B.Des (Hons) Degree in 3D Design, MA MDD, PhD and is Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. 

Mary Stobie 

Mary qualified as an occupational therapist in 1980 and has spent the majority of her working life practising in the community setting. Mary has also been a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section in Housing.
