South West College’s new Erne Campus, designed by Hamilton Architects and constructed by Tracey Brother Ltd, has seen the delivery of the first educational building worldwide to achieve the highest international standard in environmental constructions – PassivHaus Premium, ranking it alongside prestigious buildings such as the Apple Campus 2 in terms of sustainable innovation and design.

Speaker Info
Dr. Barry Mc Carron is acting Head of Business Development within South West College. Recently completing his PhD research in monitoring indoor radon concentrations in certified passive house buildings. He holds an honours degree in Architectural Technology and Management from Ulster University and an MSc in Sustainable Development from the Queens University Belfast. Barry is also the Current Chairperson of the Passive House Association of Ireland (PHAI).
