Architect led tour of the Graduate School, School of Law and PFC at Queen’s University Belfast

We have arranged an architect led tour to provide RSUA members with an opportunity to see how the northern section of the main campus at Queen’s University has been transformed by a series of recent projects.

The tour will take in the Grade B listed Lynn Building which is one of the best examples of Ruskinian Gothic architecture in Belfast.  The building is now the Graduate School following completion of work by Consarc for which the practice won both an RSUA and RIBA regional award.

The tour will also include a preview of two connected projects by TODD Architects which are due to be completed in September.  The projects are a major restructuring, extension and refurbishment of the incongruous 1960’s library tower to create a new home for the School of Law and the linking of the tower to a refurbished Peter Frogatt Centre (PFC), creating a new faculty hub and contemporary learning environment.

The tour of the building will be led by Peter Minnis of TODD Architects and Dawson Stelfox of Consarc.

Attendance is strictly by booking only – if you wish to book a place please contact Julia Leaker (Mon/Wed/Fri) or Jeanette Hedley (Tues/Thurs) or alternatively please phone 02890 323760.
