Architecture Night 2017 – Booking now live

Booking for Architecture Night 2017 has now opened. You can book online or by contacting

This great social and cultural evening will focus on the power of architecture to bring about positive change. It all kicks off at 7pm on Friday 27th October 2017.

This year RSUA is taking over the Kings Works in the heart of the Titanic Quarter, Belfast. It is a huge industrial shed. Inspired by our 2017 study trip experience of Copenhagen Street Food and the Meatpacking District in Vesterbro we aim to repurpose it for the night into a social space with an electric atmosphere.

We are delighted to welcome back our host from last year, BBC’s Irelandcorrespondent Mark Simpson, who will masterfully guide us through the three parts of the evening. Part 1 will focus on the best architecture students, Part 2 will reveal the outcome of the Belfast Flare Design Competition for early career architects and Part 3 will recognise the contribution made to architecture in Northern Ireland by Colin Davidson, world renowned artist and Jane Duncan, Immediate Past President of RIBA.

Each of the three parts to the evening will have its own distinctive live music and round of street food which is being laid on by Yellow Door, one of Northern Ireland’s leading caterers. Once again there will be no set tables and a complimentary bar will be available throughout the evening. Dress is freestyle but warm.

Based on the success of the first Architecture Night in 2016 we anticipate a crowd of 300 to 400 people including architects working in all sorts of roles, architecture students, leading figures from the built environment sector and a wide range of key influencers. It is an event to which you may wish to invite clients or other guests.

Tickets which cover dinner, a complimentary bar and live music are £40+VAT for RSUA members and RIBA International Members, £50+VAT for standard purchase and £20+VAT for RSUA/RIBA student members and selected guests.

Online booking closes on 20th October 2017 and early booking is advised.
