I am sure all of you know by now that there is a requirement to achieve level 2 BIM by 2016 in construction contracts awarded by public sector bodies which are subject to N.Ireland public sector procurement policy – practices need to be gearing up for Building Information Modelling.
The speakers and the aspects of BIM to be covered in this CPD event scheduled for Monday 25 November 2013 (see below) have been specifically arranged to answer the questions which have arisen in emails to the RSUA.

Richard Fairhead: an Associate Partner of bblur architecture, has experienced the application of BIM within small and large design practices as well as operating BIM processes within varying sizes of projects and project teams. He also has a keen interest in the development and integration of CAD and IT within Architectural Design.
Billy Black: is a Principle Engineer in DFP Central Procurement Directorate’s Construction Procurement Policy Branch.
Dale Sinclair: a Director of Dyer, an international practice based in London, RIBA Vice President Practice and Profession, an RIBA Trustee and Councillor. Dale edited the BIM overlay to the RIBA Plan of Work, led the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 task group and authored the various supporting documents including ‘A Guide to Using the RIBA Plan of Work 2013’ and ‘Assembling a Collaborative Project Team’ and he has lectured on how the Plan facilitates BIM Projects.
Melanie Dawson: is CIC N.Ireland BIM Hub Chair and Design Manager and Innovation Lead for Gilbert Ash.
David Gawley: is a Director of Pentagon Solutions
James Heron: is a Chartered Architect
