Preparing for Practice

RSUA invites all Part 3 students due to take their exams in the Autumn to “Preparing for Practice”, which is an informal pre-exam discussion led by experts in their respective fields. 

This year the event will be held online using Microsoft Teams and will start with a short welcome from Donal MacRandal, RSUA President and close with a panel Q&A from the speakers.

Whilst this event is focussed on helping Part 3 students prepare for their final exams it also provides a useful refresher to any recently qualified architects and can also be beneficial to Part 2 students.  Indeed, all architects and architecture students are welcome to attend.

Topics for discussion include:

• Professionalism in an architectural practice (Donal MacRandal, RSUA President)
• Contractor designed elements and the compliance monitoring role (Jennifer Harper, Isherwood & Ellis)
• Building regulations compliance for conservation works (Roger Perrott, C60 Design)
• Fee proposals for integrated design teams (Bobby Moore, TODD Architects)

Where: Online, hosted by RSUA using Microsoft Teams
