Preparing for Practice

RSUA, in partnership with Architecture at Queen’s, invites all Part 3 students due to take their exams in September to “Preparing for Practice”, which is an informal pre-exam discussion led by experts in their respective fields.

Whilst this event is focussed on helping Part 3 students prepare for their final exams it also provides a useful refresher to any recently qualified architects and Part 2 students.  Indeed, all architects and architecture students are welcome to attend.

Topics for discussion include:

  • Copyright and license agreements for designs.
  • NEC – specifically comparing it with JCT – and the differences between NEC Option A and B.
  • CDM – Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2016.

The event will consist of three short presentations followed by questions from the students with answers and discussion from the panel of speakers.

Where: 0G/074, Lanyon Building, Queen’s University Belfast, University Road, Belfast.

When: 2pm-4pm on Friday 31st August 2018

Food and light refreshments will be supplied courtesy of Interface FLOR.
