QUB Stakeholder Opinion of the NI Planning System
Location: Online
Date: 25 June 2020
Duration: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

This seminar is targeted at all those with an interest in the Northern Ireland Planning System, particularly those that took part in a major survey of the views of key stakeholders (including citizens, politicians, developers and planners) undertaken by Queen’s University Belfast (Dr Linda Fox-Rogers, Dr Jenny Crawford, Prof Geraint Ellis) , Cardiff University (Dr Francesca Sartori, Dr Amanda Scarfi) and Cardiff Metropolitan University (Dr Selyf Morgan).
This event offers an opportunity to both hear about the survey findings, but also engage in a discussion about what they may mean for the future direction of the Northern Ireland Planning system. The survey covered issues such as views on how the public interest is upheld by the planning system, and what are seen as the most important priorities for reform. A similar survey was undertaken in 2011, and the changes of perception over this time will also be explored. Similar surveys were also undertaken in Wales and the Republic of Ireland, which will be the subject of future seminars
Please register here for the Seminar on Eventbrite and a link for the online meeting will be sent to you 24 hours prior to the event.
