Online CPD: What’s going on with planning in the countryside?

RIBA Curriculum Topic: Places, planning and communities

WIth the recent withdrawal of a planning advice note by the Department for Infrastructure, which was designed to clarify elements of existing planning policy, many have been left wondering – what is going on with planning in Northern Ireland, specifically in relation to rural areas.

In this seminar, William Orbinson QC will look at the issues at hand, as well as the ongoing approach of the Planning Appeals Commission and ever – evolving policy with a view to what development will be allowed in the near future and what may need refinement.

The seminar covers:

  • Planning advice updates
  • Recent Planning Appeals Commission decisions
  • Rural planning policy
