Project Architect

Kevin Cartin Architects have a varied portfolio of projects across a wide range of sectors with particular focus on residential projects for both private and social housing schemes.

We are keen to employ a motivated and experienced Architect, ideally with strong technical design ability and experience of delivering high quality residential and commercial projects from inception to completion.

Applicants should have the ability to work on their own initiative as, if successful, they will be involved in a range of projects at all stages of design and construction, as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years post qualification experience

Fully Qualified ARB registered Architect

Driving Licence (access to own transport desirable)

Experience:

Good knowledge of Planning and Building Regulations

Good knowledge of Social Housing Design Requirements (desirable) 

Good design skills

High level of construction detailing knowledge     

Proven job running and site experience

Good report writing and presentation skills

Tender documentation and NBS specification writing experience

Skills:

Proficiency using AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable)

Experience using Photoshop

Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

Role and responsibilities:

Acting as project lead on projects through all RIBA work stages

Developing designs and design concepts

Presenting designs and communicating with clients

Managing/liaising with design team consultants

Liaising with statutory bodies

Contract administration and managing projects during construction

Project planning and administration
