Candidate:

Due to our current portfolio of projects, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager/Bid Writer who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking to take the next step in their career, having already successfully managed high quality construction projects to successful completion.

This is a new position being created within Hall Black Douglas Architects with the aim of delivering and increased success rate at written PQQ and ITT bid submissions and increased efficiencies in delivery of Project Management services for high quality Architectural Construction projects within the practice.

The successful candidate will contribute to the future success and development of the practice, joining a team of twenty architects and technologists, based in our Belfast studio (COVID restrictions permitting). The practice seeks the development and career progression of all staff through regular CPD, training and performance review.  

Hall Black Douglas are currently involved in delivering innovative projects in a wide range of sectors: Civic; Community; Healthcare; Conservation; Social Housing; Private Residential; Education and Leisure. 

Essential Experience:

NEC Project Manager Accreditation: NEC Accredited Project Manager qualification or Module 2 of the ICE Law and Contract Management Examination

Third Level Qualification 

Project Management of Completed Projects at Construction Stage (UK NEC/Ireland Public Works)

Experience in delivering NEC construction projects as Project Manager for over 3 years.

Excellent written skills and experience of completing successful PQQ/ITT submissions for UK/Ireland Public Sector Contracts for over 3 years.

Client, Consultant and Contractor interface and co-ordination

Desirable Criteria:

Excellent written skills and experience of completing successful PQQ/ITT submissions for UK/Ireland Public Sector Contracts for over 5 years.

Experience in delivering NEC construction projects as Project Manager for over 5 years.

Degree Level Qualification in Project Management/Construction Management/Relevant Qualification

Masters Level Qualification in Project Management/Construction Management/Relevant Qualification

Registration with relevant professional body

UK/EU Driving License
