Alan Barnes Travel Scholarship Award for 3rd Year Undergraduates
Is there a place in the world that you would love to explore? To see and experience its architecture on a journey of discovery, enlightenment and adventure?
If so, the Alan Barnes Travel Scholarship Award might be for you and applications for the 2022 scholarship are now open.
The scholarship is open to any student educated through the post-primary education system in Northern Ireland who studies at a recognised School of Architecture in Britain or Ireland and who is at present in their third year.
The scholarship is a minimum of £500 but could be as much as £1,000 depending on the nature of the proposed trip and will be awarded to the student who would make the most of it.
If you are shortlisted you’ll be invited to attend a short interview in person or online.
If you are successful, not only will the scholarship assist you with the costs of your trip but your review of the trip will be published in Perspective, the Journal of the Royal Society of Ulster Architects.
You can register by completing this form. After that, all you have to do is describe how you would use the scholarship in no more than 500 words and submit this along with a CV to Jude@rsua.org.uk by Friday 25 February 2022.
