Mid and East Antrim Local Development Plan 2030 – Preferred Options Paper

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has published its Preferred Options Paper (POP).

The POP is a consultation paper intended to promote debate on issues of strategic significance which are likely to influence the shape of future development within Mid and East Antrim. It sets out the Council’s preferred options in relation to a number of key issues, and will be used, in conjunction with feedback received, to inform the making of the Mid and East Antrim Local Development Plan (LDP) 2030.

The Preferred Options Paper, Sustainability Appraisal (SA) Interim Report (incorporating Strategic Environmental Assessment), SA Scoping Report, Equality Impact Assessment Report, summary of the POP and all preparatory papers are available for viewing on the Council’s website at www.midandeastantrim.gov.uk/pop

The POP and the SA Interim Report will also be available in hard copy for examination between 9.30am and 4.30pm (Monday to Friday) at the following Council offices:

In accordance with Regulation 11 of The Planning (Local Development Plan) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015, the period for consultation on the POP commences today for a period of 12 weeks. During this consultation period there are a number of events planned throughout the Borough and these are highlighted below. You are cordially invited to attend one of these public engagement events.

Should you wish to make comment on the POP and/or SA, please complete the relevant questionnaire/s available at consult.midandeastantrim.gov.uk by 6 September 2017. Representations received by this date will be considered in the preparation of the Draft Plan Strategy.
