New Community Ownership fund potential to preserve historic buildings

The UK government has launched a new £150 million Community Ownership Fund to help ensure that communities across Britain and Northern Ireland can continue benefiting from the local facilities, community assets and amenities most important to them.

Voluntary and community groups in Northern Ireland can bid for match funding to acquire important assets and run them for the benefit of the local community.

The Fund will be of particular relevance to the historic environment sector, including Building Preservation Trusts and will run until 2024/25. This prospectus contains details on the first of the 8 rounds of bidding, and an online information session is being run on Friday 23rd July, 10am – 11am: click here to sign up.
