Belfast City Hall, one hundred years

£10.00

Author: Gillian McIntosh

The architect who designed City Hall, Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas, described it as ‘a monument to the character of the people of Belfast.’ The building is in the Baroque Revival style and is constructed of Portland stone.
The author covers the period from its opening on 1 August 1906 to 2006.
This beautifully illustrated, hard copy book is packed with photographs old and new, providing a comprehensive study of the history of the building, and it’s role in the community.
This Victorian, lavish, building has come to be regarded as the physical and symbolic heart of the city.
