Description
Anna Smyth is from Newtownards, Northern Ireland. She graduated from Ulster University in 2017, with a First Class Honours Degree in Ceramics. She has exhibited at the New Designers show in London and has had work selected for the prestigious Royal Ulster Academy of Arts Annual Exhibition. Her contemporary handcrafted items are individually made on a potters wheel in her studio.
This body of work responds to the current interest in Irish linen heritage. This collection is entitled ” I worked in the Mill”.
In 2020, work from this series was purchased by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for its public collection.
